Why Choose Us?
Frequently Asked Questions:
What Should I Bring for My Pet?
You are welcome to bring items that comfort your pet while they are away from home. We suggest bringing your pet’s food to maintain their regular diet and prevent digestive issues. For those unable to bring food, we offer Science Diet Sensitive Stomach as an alternative. Please ensure that food is brought in a sealed container labeled with your pet’s name.
Our facility provides blankets, beds, bowls, toys, and treats, so additional items are generally unnecessary. For exotic or pocket pets, such as birds or rabbits, please bring their cages, food, water dishes, and any special toys or treats they use daily.
My Pet Requires Medication. What Should I Do?
Bring all medications, including topical treatments and shampoos, in their original containers with clear instructions and your pet’s name. Our staff is trained to correctly handle and administer medications and document any health changes.
If your pet requires medication refills during their stay, contact us ahead of time to confirm availability. Inform our staff of any medical conditions or medications your pet is currently taking, even if they are a regular patient at our hospital.
How Often Will My Pet Be Interacted With or Walked?
Dogs are walked on a leash 2-3 times a day, or more frequently if needed. The bedding is changed at least twice daily to ensure a comfortable environment. Each pet receives individual attention from our staff 3-4 times daily, or as required. To prevent aggressive situations, pets are not walked or socialized with unfamiliar animals.
What Vaccinations Are Required for Boarding?
For boarding, dogs must have current vaccinations for Rabies, Leptospirosis, Distemper, Hepatitis, Para Influenza, Parvo, and Bordetella (Kennel Cough). Cats need vaccinations for Rabies, Distemper, Rhinotracheitis, and Calicivirus. Proof of these vaccinations from a licensed veterinarian is required at the time of boarding. Vaccinations should be administered at least one week before boarding for the safety of all pets.
What Are the Drop-Off and Pick-Up Times?
Boarding check-in is available Monday through Friday from 2 pm to 5 pm, and Saturday from 8 am to 12 pm. Check-out times are Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 12 pm, and Saturday from 8 am to 12 pm. If you need to check in or out outside these times, an additional service charge will apply, and you must schedule this in advance. After-hours pick-ups must be arranged and prepaid ahead of time. An after-hours pick-up form must be presented to the kennel staff to ensure your pet is released to the correct person.
What If My Dog Becomes Ill While I Am Away?
We have a veterinarian on staff six days a week who can examine, treat, and prescribe necessary care for pets in our facility. Please indicate your preferences for treatment in case of an emergency on the boarding form. If your pet requires any medical procedures while boarding, we can schedule them for you. Inform the staff at drop-off of any specific services you would like your pet to receive.
Will My Pets Have to Be Separated?
We can accommodate boarding for pets together if they get along well. However, if any aggression is observed between them, we may suggest separating them for safety reasons. Please inform the check-in staff about any pre-existing issues, such as kennel or food aggression, so we can ensure a safe environment. To ensure safety and comfort, we do not board more than two dogs together.
Is There a Discount for Long Stays or Multiple Pets?
We offer a discount for boarding multiple dogs together, though we recommend separating them if they are more comfortable in individual spaces. A 10-20% discount is also available for pets enrolled in our Wellness Plans. Please visit our Wellness Plan page or ask our staff for more details.
How Early Should I Schedule My Reservation, and What Is Your Cancellation Policy?
It is best to schedule boarding 1-2 weeks in advance, particularly around holidays when demand is higher. If you need to cancel or modify your reservation, please contact us as soon as possible so we can adjust our preparations and make the spot available to another pet. There are no penalties for canceling, rescheduling, or extending reservations.
