Jeffrey
Jeffrey P. O’Dell, DVM
Veterinarian

Dr. O’Dell is a 2000 graduate from the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Missouri and has enjoyed being with the Branson Veterinary Hospital since graduation. Prior to veterinary school, in 1987 Dr. O’Dell received a Bachelor of Science in Wildlife Biology at Southwest Missouri State University. Following graduation, he was hired by the Missouri Dept. of Conservation and worked as a biologist at Duck Creek Waterfowl Management Area in Puxico, MO. After one and half years with the MDC he returned to SMSU, where he received a master of Science in Wildlife Ecology in 1991. Dr. O’Dell was then hired by the Florida Game and Freshwater Fish Commission as a Wildlife Biologist in the Everglades Ecosystem for the next 5 years. It was in Florida where Dr. O’Dell realized his love for the medical diagnosis and treatment of animals, and decided to return to Missouri for his studies at the University of Missouri. Dr. O’Dell has been married to his wife, Angie, for 24 years and they have two wonderful children.

Opsomer
Michael J. Opsomer, DVM
Veterinarian

Dr. Opsomer decided in the sixth grade that he wanted to be a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. He spent his high school and college years obtaining as much experience as possible in order to achieve entrance into a College of Veterinary Medicine. This included a Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science from the University of Illinois, he worked on a Master’s degree in dairy Reproductive Endocrinology and Physiology at the University of Missouri-Columbia, and culminating in a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Missouri-Columbia. His first five years of practice were spent in mixed animal medicine with an emphasis on dairy. After that, he has spent the last 23 years in strictly small animal medicine and surgery. Dr. Opsomer enjoys meeting new people and especially new patients.

Julie L. King, DVM

Veterinarian

Dr. King grew up in Southwest Missouri and is the 6th generation in her family to be raised in Taney County. She attended Missouri State University, graduating in 2007 with a B.S. in Animal Science. Julie then attended the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine, where she graduated in 2013. Outside of practicing veterinary medicine Julie enjoys hiking, biking, horseback riding, reading, and is a food enthusiast, always trying new foods and restaurants in the SW Missouri area.

Audrey Hagood, DVM

Veterinarian

Dr. Audrey Hagood is a highly skilled and compassionate veterinarian who has been practicing veterinary medicine for four years. She is a graduate of the University of Missouri, where she earned both her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine and Master’s in Public Health degrees.​

Dr. Hagood has a wide range of professional interests that reflect her commitment to providing the best possible care to her patients. These interests include canine rehabilitation and conditioning, dermatology, behavior, fear-free practice, abdominal ultrasound, public health, nutrition, and internal medicine for both canines and felines. She takes pride in staying up to date on the latest developments in veterinary medicine and is always eager to expand her knowledge and expertise in order to provide the best possible care to her patients.​ 

One of Dr. Hagood’s greatest strengths is her exceptional communication skills. She enjoys working closely with pet owners to help them understand their pets’ diagnoses and treatment options. She is passionate about supporting the human-animal bond and believes that pets play an important role in helping people live happier, healthier lives.​

In her free time, Dr. Hagood enjoys exploring the beauty of the Ozarks, walking her own dog, a 2-year-old Havanese named Haven, and reading. She is also currently working towards her CCRT (Certified Rehabilitation Therapist) degree, which will allow her to expand her expertise in the area of canine rehabilitation.​

Alicia

Alicia has worked at BVH since late 2016. Though this was her first job in the field, animals have always been her passion. She takes pride in providing your pet care and comfort during their visit with us and enjoys helping educate you on everything from proper daily care to surgical aftercare. Each case provides a new chance to further her knowledge in veterinary medicine. When she is not at the clinic, she uses her free time to travel, scuba dive, or just spend a quiet day at home curled up with a book and a cat

Veterinary Assistant

Dianne is one of our veterinary assistants here at Branson Veterinary Hospital and has been in the practice for about 7 years. She attended Illinois State University for her Bachelors, National Louis University for her Masters in management, and Harper College for her veterinary assistant certification. Dianne prides herself in attention to detail, giving your pet the same care I give my own pet, sharing knowledge with clients, and service orientation. In her free time, she enjoys boating, wakeboarding, skiing, any sport, RV’ing, and hiking.

Senior Veterinary Assistant

Heather is our senior veterinary assistant here at Branson Veterinary Hospital and has been in the practice for about 22 years. She prides herself in her ability to provide complete care for our patients. She educates clients as well as treats patients’ medical conditions as if they were her own. She also owns Fur Tamers, a grooming salon, next door to the veterinary facility. This also allows her to care for their grooming needs as well. In her free time, she attends various sporting events and practices with her very active teenagers.

I pride myself in making sure to the best of my ability and the clinics ability to give 100% to every patient that comes into the clinic. I continue to learn daily and and use every resource I can to achieve this.

I have 2 children and 2 puppies. I love to travel and be outdoors. I enjoy reading, swimming, and most importantly spending time with my kids.

Hospital Manager, RVT

Megan is our Hospital Manager here at Branson Veterinary Hospital. She has been in the practice for about 18 years and 4 years as a manager. Megan studied Veterinary Technology at National American University. She prides herself in client communication, sharing knowledge with new employees, and caring for patients as if they were her own. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her children and husband, family get-togethers, enjoying God’s nature, and traveling.

Veterinary Assistant

Roxi is one of our veterinary assistants here at Branson Vet Hospital and has been in the practice for about a year. She prides herself in being the voice of our fur friends. In her free time, Roxi spends time with her family and as much time on the water as possible. She is a mom of 3, Nana to 1 and a fur mom to 5!

Veterinary Assistant

Taylor is one of our veterinary assistants here at Branson Veterinary Hospital and has been in the practice for about 1 year. Although, she previously worked with animals for over 2 years. Taylor prides herself in teamwork, her orange glasses, skills in phlebotomy, and client communication/rapport. In her free time, she plays with her cats, dog, and children, reading, and learning new things.
