Jeffrey P. O’Dell, DVM
Dr. O’Dell is a 2000 graduate from the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Missouri and has enjoyed being with the Branson Veterinary Hospital since graduation. Prior to veterinary school, in 1987 Dr. O’Dell received a Bachelor of Science in Wildlife Biology at Southwest Missouri State University. Following graduation he was hired by the Missouri Dept. of Conservation and worked as a biologist at Duck Creek Waterfowl Management Area in Puxico, MO. After one and half years with the MDC he returned to SMSU, where he received a master of Science in Wildlife Ecology in 1991. Dr. O’Dell was then hired by the Florida Game and Freshwater Fish Commission as a Wildlife Biologist in the Everglades Ecosystem for the next 5 years. It was in Florida where Dr. O’Dell realized his love for the medical diagnosis and treatment of animals, and decided to return to Missouri for his studies at the University of Missouri. Dr O’Dell has been married to his wife, Angie, for 24 years and they have two wonderful children.
Henry R. Ewert, DVM
Raised in Abilene, Kansas. Attended Kansas State University (Doctor of Veterinary Medicine 1969). Established Grandview Plaza Animal Clinic in Grandview, Missouri in 1972. Sold Practice and moved to Branson, Missouri in 2009. Started employment with Branson Veterinary Hospital in January 2010. Member of the AVMA. Lifetime member of the MVMA and KCVMA.
Michael Opsomer, DVM
Dr. Opsomer decided in the sixth grade that he wanted to be a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. He spent his high school and college years obtaining as much experience as possible in order to achieve entrance into a College of Veterinary Medicine. This included a Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science from the University of Illinois, he worked on a Master’s degree in dairy Reproductive Endocrinology and Physiology at the University of Missouri-Columbia, and culminating in a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Missouri-Columbia. His first five years of practice were spent in mixed animal medicine with an emphasis on dairy. After that he has spent the last 23 years in strictly small animal medicine and surgery. Dr. Opsomer enjoys meeting new people and especially new patients.
Dilraj Singh Baath, DVM
Dr. ‘Raj’ Baath is a graduate from College of Veterinary Science at Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Science University in Ludhiana, Punjab, India. He completed his Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry in July 2010. After his graduation, he started working in a mixed animal practice in India. He worked with the mixed animal practice for 2 years. In June 2013, he completed the ECFVG certification. Dr. Baath started working with Branson Veterinary Hospital in April 2014 as a full-time small animal veterinarian but loves any opportunity to see animals of all types, including miniature goats, micro pigs, hamsters, and bunnies. Dr. Baath loves playing and watching Cricket. Member of AVMA and MVMA.
